Easter Weekend

All week I have been talking to the girls about the arrival of the Easter Bunny. We also talked about the religious meaning of Easter and why we celebrate! Sydney informed me earlier this week that the Easter Bunny doesn't bring presents. Only Santa does! She is too funny!

On Saturday, we decorated eggs. Sydney did much better then last year. Last year her hands were covered in the dye. If you don't remember you can read about it here. First we colored the eggs. It was neat to listen and watch Sydney correctly call out the colors. After the eggs dried, she decorated them with stickers. They turned out great!






On Sunday, the Easter bunny was at our house and left the girls some goodies. Sydney got a new Disney Princess Bike, sidewalk chalk, sunglasses, bubbles, a stuffed rabbit, and candy. Sophia got a sippy cup, a water float for babies, a stuffed rabbit, a Minnie Mouse shirt, and Gerber snacks. The bunny left the baskets and the eggs in the playroom downstairs. When Sydney walked downstairs she noticed the eggs right away. I think she was more excited about the egg hunt then the bike or basket. Sydney found all the eggs and shared some with Sophia without being told too. Awwww! After we were done with the egg hunt we had to get ready for church.

After church, we went to my brother in-law's house to celebrate Easter with his family. The Easter bunny stopped there too and left eggs for Sydney/Sophia to find. Sydney was now a pro at finding eggs and it took her no time to find them all. The bunny even left her and Sophia another small basket of goodies. We enjoyed a nice dinner and I loved catching up with my three awesome nieces! It was a nice afternoon!
